What is Patchwork?
Patchwork makes personalised bedtime stories for your child — written by AI from the details you choose, with cover art, and optionally narrated in a family voice you record.
How long does a story take?
Most stories are ready in well under a minute. You can leave the page while it writes — it keeps generating in the background and appears in your library when it is done.
Is the content safe for my child?
Yes — stories are written for ages 3–12 and every story passes an automated content check before it is shown. See the safety page for the full picture.
How does the family voice work?
An adult records a few short passages (about 3–5 minutes). We create a private voice profile, delete the raw recording, and can then narrate stories in that voice. You can preview and delete the voice any time.
Do I need a family voice to use it?
No. Stories work with the built-in narrator. The family voice is an optional, consent-first extra.
What does it cost?
Your first personalised story is free, with no card required. Paid plans add more stories a month and family voices — current limits and prices are shown on the home page and your profile.
Can I cancel or get a refund?
You can cancel any time from your profile billing portal. See the terms page for cancellation and refund details.
What happens to my data?
Your stories and library are private to your account. Raw voice recordings are deleted after processing. Full detail is on the privacy page.
